Kim Couture Accuses Jared Shaw Of Checking Out Gina Carano's Goods

Sure, it's not quite like getting accused of offering a fighter a little extra dough to stand and trade with your meal ticket, but Kim Couture telling Steve Cofield that EliteXC VP Jared Shaw was checking out Gina Carano's goods at last week's weigh-ins is pretty bad too. Oh, she also claims "$kala" may like Carano as, you know, more than a friend. Sheesh.

"It was an awkward situation," Couture said. "Thank god her Dad was there. She would've much rather had me holding that towel for her than Jared Shaw in the background trying to peek over the towel. I thought that was pretty low."

At first, I wondered what good it does to mention something like this in an interview. Then, I figured that Carano's camp must have been pretty spooked out by his behavior last weekend. If so, Shaw has a little more explaining to do (more attempts to reach Shaw have gone unanswered).

Believe it or not, my favorite part of this interview has nothing to do with Couture or Carano. It's hearing the radio lifer Cofield remind us who we are watching and listening to mid-interview. Thanks for the reminder, Steve!

Below is footage of the now-infamous weigh-ins. At around the 1:40 mark you can see Shaw lurking in the background while Carano steps onto the scale for the third and final time now surrounded by towels. Did he sneak a peek? You tell me.
