One of the more interesting subplots following Kimbo Slice's loss to Seth Petruzelli on Saturday night was EliteXC VP Jared Shaw's reaction to the "upset."

We spoke to Shaw at the post-fight press conference and asked about his behavior cageside. At the time, Shaw had yet to re-watch the tape, but after doing so, "$kala" reached out to us late last night to comment.

"I watched the tape back today," Shaw said. "While I think that the ref may have missed the (blow to the back of the head) call, my reactions at ringside - I saw them myself - were inappropriate and inexcusable.

"I apologize to the MMA community and the fans and most of all Seth Petruzelli as although my reactions can not change a referee's decision, they were inappropriate at the time and over a heated and tense mixed martial arts event."

As expected, Shaw's behavior has prompted a lot of negative reactions from the MMA community and rightfully so. Plain and simple, a man in his position should never show any favoritism during a fight. Shaw himself appears to agree with that notion.

"Again, I apologize to the community," Shaw repeated. "I am all for fair mixed martial arts fighting and I am very happy to represent Seth Petruzelli."

Dude seemed like a coked out slimeball during his interview with Ariel. No way this guy will take over the MMA world. LOL!

An MMA promoter doing or saying that might seem bias? No, that has never happened in MMA. Or at least it hasnt this week.

I wonder if Jared Shaw picked the name $kala by going through the keyboard and trying to figure out the coolest place to put a symbol that could take the place of a letter.
